This is actually "tongue-in-cheek"! Reportedly, what we have now is the $50 option and it fails to meet the PLURAL thousandS (by a resource or two), and yet the advertisement states that PLURAL thousandS will be available FOR $8.99. Notice that it doesn't say "starting at" which would be theΒ standard deception!
Perhaps by the time of 'normal access' things will be different.

Reuben, the $8.99 option will not have 2,000 resources. This miscommunication was a mistake on our part and we're working to fix it ASAP.

Yeah but jokes aside that price with 1000s of books would be in line with the pricing of the competition with other subscription services available now! I look forward to seeing how faithlife make it worth our while to stay put with them - I'm sure they will come up with something;)
