Headings and verse reference text disappear
Since Jan 1st, i have been using a daily bible reading plan attached to my preferred Bible (NKJV).
A couple months ago, suddently, when i open the Bible to read the reading plan, for about one second, everything displays fine, but then the little "loading thingy" pops up and the page refreshes and all the text formatted as heading and verse references and footnotes all disappear leaving ONLY the bible text itself.
Here is a screenshot immediately upon opening the NKJV to read. Notice you can see the bold section header text as well as verse references and footnotes. Also notice the "loading" spinner (near verse 5 in the center) showing that the screen is in the proccess of being refreshed.
One second later, with the refresh complete, the heading text is gone, the verse reference is gone, the footnotes are gone. Oly bible text remains.
My other Bible versions, ESV, KJV, etc all display fine as does the NKJV when using my PC on biblia.com. Only my NKJV on my Android phone with this Bible reading plan attached renders incorrectly. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling/deleting/downloading/etc etc.
Oh, and in case you forgot, it used to work just fine up until a month or so ago so something got corrupted or software updates broke it.

Is it possible that you have the "Bible Text Only" feature enabled? To check, click on the screen to display the resource settings and select Aa:
Then scroll down to "Bible Text Only":
And toggle the controls according to your preferences:

LOL. Doh! Yep that fixed it. I really dont know how that got in there, senility perhaps!
.And that appears to be a resource-specific setting that is set individually for each. So somehow it was enabled for my NKJV but not for ESV , or LEB, or any others. That was throwing me off because i was looking everywhere in application settings and never found it.

Thank you Matt for asking this question. I too was having the same problem, which started 2 months ago. I was not sure what happened.
Thank you Jacob for the photos and info. It corrected it. I will now be able to enjoy using my Tablet at church tomorrow.
