Copy and Paste Bible Verses

How do I copy and paste Bible verses using the "copy Bible verses" tool? I'm running Logos 6 and trying to copy and paste into Pages 5.5. I've checked in settings and the "copy Bible verses" is checked. It will copy but will not automatically paste the scripture into my pages document.

welcome to the Logos user forums. I'm not an Apple user myself, but from reading the forums the sad reality seems to be that Apple broke the functionality of automatic insert when they issued Pages 5.5, so you'll either have to live with the reduced functionality, revert to an older version of Pages or use a textprocessor that supports this functionality.

Thanks for your help, but that doesn't seem to want to work either, ugh. Oh well, at least I can copy using the copy and paste feature in Logos, then just command v and paste it that way. Thanks again

It doesn't work with Pages 5.5 as you found out. However, it does work as intended with Mac Word 2011. This may be one of the fixes we are waiting for when Logos 6.4 is released later on this month. I'm wondering why though that you can't get the "services" menu (replace with passage) to work as that works both for Pages 5.5 as well as Mac Word 2011. Perhaps if you go over the "services" options for Logos and Pages you may find something that was overlooked.

The services option has been a little flaky since 6.3. There hasn't been an "official" fix as far as I can see, but users have said that 6.3 SR-1 and SR-2 got it working for them. I haven't seen anyone on the forums complain about it for awhile.

Kevin, when you are in Pages, and you have a reference selected, e.g., "Hebrews 1:2" do you see the option in the "services" menu when you click on the "Pages" menu by the Apple Icon in the menu bar?

Have you tried restarting your Mac?

I just tested this with the latest Mac Office 2016 Preview version (downloaded this afternoon) and the services menu - "replace with passage" is broken whereas it was previously working. However, copy Bible verses is working OK. Word 2016 opens automatically and verses are pasted at the cursor insertion point. I realize it's too soon to even worry about it, but thought I would mention it in case anyone else is testing the Preview of Mac Office 2016.

You may have already noticed, but this now works. As well, when quotes are copied from other resources into Pages, they now cite (although not as a footnote). Thank you Logos!

Now, if we could just have the copy Bible verses work in IOS.
