COPY or EXPORT - search results - Can we?

Hello, (any one from Logos also)
I would really like the ability to print out my search results - for any type of search.
Something else that would work for me would be to allow me the option to copy / paste any portion - of any type of search - to my word processor. Is this something that can be done now and I'm just missing it?
It seems to me that this is a must especially for preparing messages or Bible studies. A person using Logos 4 should be able to copy and paste any portion of any type of search and use it directly in the message or lesson they are preparing. Otherwise using Logos 4 to prepare messages & lessons becomes too cumbersome.
Is this a feature that is going to be added in the future?
Or is it possible now and I just don't understand how yet? (go easy on me I'm a newbie to Logos 4)
Thanks,
Stein Dahl

I very much agree. I would really like to be able to copy and paste the references (not necessarily the entire verse, but especially the references i.e. Matt 2:12 or James 1:5) from my morph. search results.
I know someone has posted on this recently.
thanks,
Brian Davidson

... and by "posted on this recently" I mean they have requested this capability. I don't think L4 can do this yet.

Sorry, but this is not a good enough solution for me. Thanks anyway.

Read this thread looking for a way to copy multiple discontiguous bible verses (which there is no way to do in L4, i understand), but had to chuckle at the last reply...
I think Spitzer meant "patience" and not "patients." Not sure how acknowleding the sick or infirmed would help this topic, unless it made us all become patients rather than produce the fruit of patience.

hehehe...I'm certainly not known for my self editing skills, therefore I ask that other forum members to have patience with me, rather then make me a patient by ripping me apart :-)

I'm running the Current Beta (B2) which does allow the copying of discontiguous Bible verses. I've heard that at least a third beta stands between the current release version and 4.0a so if your not willing to brave the world of beta (which has been a smooth sail for me) you'll have to wait a bit.

Can I copy, print, or export the results of my morphological search so that what I see via the Analysis option can be printed on paper?

You used to be able to do this in Logos 3. I have been trying to find a way to do it in Logos 4.Win 7 x64 | Core i7 3770K | 32GB RAM | GTX 750 Ti 2GB | Crucial m4 256GB SSD (system) | Crucial m4 256GB SSD (Logos) | WD Black 1.5 TB (storage) | WD Red 3 TB x 3 (storage) | HP w2408h 24" | First F301GD Live 30"

If you are running 4.0c RC1, you can now save your search results as a passage list and then copy and paste that list into a Word Document, Onenote file, etc.
- run your search
- click "save as passage list on the tab menu
- select all of the passages in the newly generated list (ctrl A)
- Paste them into the document (Word, OneNote, etc)
This method will place all of the Bible verse/passage references generated from a search. For example if you have done a basic search and it returned articles that combine text with passage links, only the passage list.
Hope this helps.

To add to what Fred said, this is a pretty good way to do it if you want to run different searches and merge the results in different ways, etc.
If you just want to shoot out the results of a search to Word...then a simple "copy to clipboard" is still a good thing.

I posted "copy from anywhere" (including search results) as a suggestion on the UserVoice forum. Go vote for it there if you've got any votes left or can spare a vote from something else that is already definitely going to be implemented.

A list can be exported when using a morph search (4.0b SR-2).
Perform the
morph search, then select the analysis view. Then click on the
magnifying glass icon within that search tab and select export.0 -

I ran out of votes on my first visit and I don't think I got past the first page of suggestions.[W]

Instead of the steps 1-3 above simply click a blank spaace in the grid and then hit ctrl P. after which simply export to word and edit as you wish.

Hit Ctrl-P, then on the bottom right of the open window, select "Copy to Clipboard" and then paste into a wordprocessor.

Copy from anywhere (Guides, Search Results, Resource Info panel)
Add the ability to select and copy text from all the places we used to be able to in L3: Passage/Exegetical Guides, Bible Word Study, Search Results, and Resource info panels.

I wonder how soon this would get done if it had 3 votes from EVERY poster on the forums?
At time of posting: Forum Activity: 69,037 users have contributed to 40,991 threads and 324,245 posts. [does not tell how many currently active [say in the last month]]If you want something in Logos 4 [or maybe tell them how to build Logos 5] check out uservoice and VOTE

Thanks Claude, that worked perfect.

This works perfectly!!! By the way for new users the save as passage can be found by clicking the small arrow under the hour glass. You save as passage list and a new tab opens with all the references highlighted waiting to be copied and pasted. Excellent. Thanks!
