This book is a total disappointment, and I mean a total disappointment! And to think LOGOS would charge me $24.95 for this botched up, cut up, ridiculous, ludicrous book that has 61 CHARTS MISSING, and also the last chapter in the Book missing as well - XXXIV THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES. And the charts that they do have are also separate from the book - what in the world?
I have the HARDCOVER COPY of this book, and was so excited about buying this on LOGOS - and now I get totally disappointed with this.
I also have the ebook edition of DISPENSATIONAL TRUTH on BIBLE ANALYZER and it is so superior to the ebook edition of it here on LOGOS. The book is intact right down to the last chapter and all of the charts are integrated in the book, so you can better understand which chapter each chart relates to.
Something needs to be done about this not ASAP but NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Logos has had quality control issues for years. I'm not surprised by your discovery. You can request a refund and move on. If you make enough noise they might fix it.

I would love nothing more than for LOGOS to have this fixed. The reason I bought it is because I wanted it here on LOGOS, but 61 charts missing and the last chapter missing is just too much! It is absolutely ridiculous. This is very unbecoming of a company like LOGOS with the reputation that they have. I really want them to fix this, but if they don't, I will ask for a refund. If they do not fix it, they should not even be selling it.
I hope that when I go through Clarence Larkin's other books, I don't find anything like this.

Kenute--
The charts can be found in Resource ID: DISPENTRTHCHARTS. We produced them as a media resource.
As for the missing chapter: it's possible we're working from two different sources. The print material we used to produce the title only contained 22 chapters.
EDIT: I did a bit of digging and there are different editions of this work. There is no missing material in the edition we produced.

Kyle G Anderson, I understand what you are saying, but you do realize that I have the HARDCOVER BOOK, and the last chapter is definitely missing, so that chapter needs to be added to your ebook edition. The ebook edition that FAITHLIFE has is not the correct version. This is absolutely ridiculous! Fix the thing! Get the right ebook edition with all of the chapters and charts in it. I have never encountered anything so ridiculous as this in my life, to have to go to another resource to view the charts, when the charts should be in the book. The charts are in all of his other books, so why not this one? But it can be fixed, so FAITH LIFE Needs to fix this now! Pronto! On the double!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I do not know what this resource ID: DISPENTRTHCHARTS is or how to get there, so you will have to please guide me on how to get there. Thanks.

Kenute: It would help me understand the situation better if you could let me know if you have the 1918 edition or the 1920 edition hard back. Even telling me the page number of the missing material would be helpful.
The 1918 edition (based off the material we have in our possession) was 22 chapters. The 1920 edition was substantially updated and includes 34 chapters.
We produced the 1918 edition which in the material we have contains only 22 chapters.
As for the charts. There are three ways to access them.
- Use Command Bar at the top center of the Logos app: simply type or copy and paste the internal name (DISPENTRTHCHARTS) into the command bar. It will prompt you to open Dispensational Truth Or God’s Plan and Purpose in the Ages: Charts
- Search for Dispensational Truth Or God’s Plan and Purpose in the Ages: Charts in your library.
- There are numerous links throughout Dispensational Truth. For example, on page 180 there is a link to the chart "Weeks of Scripture". That link will open the resource containing the charts allowing you to see them side by side.

Ok Kyle G. Anderson, my edition says:
Copyrighted 1918--All rights reserved
Enlarged and Revised Edition Copyrighted 1920
The Charts and Diagrams and Cuts in this book must not be used in any way without written permission from the Author.
So it seems that I must have the "Enlarged and Revised Edition Copyrighted 1920"
It is not the PREFACE either as in the LOGOS EDITION, it is the FOREWARD, which is so much more writing.
I have taken pictures from the book with the Chapters, Charts, and Cuts, which will show the pages that they are on - and I will be posting them here to you in about 2 minutes.
This is one of my favorite books Kyle, and this upset me very much to know that this is incomplete, if you can understand that. I appreciate you taking the time with me to work things out with this awesome book, and get it fixed.
As for the DISPENTRTHCHARTS, I accessed them, and they are the same ones that was downloaded with the book - the 61 charts still missing.

I am not trying to overstep here, but I think what Kyle is trying to say is that you have a different edition of the book than what is being offered through Logos. It is not that the book is incomplete, its an earlier edition with less information. What you should be asking is when/if Logos plans to produce the "Enlarged and Revised Edition" copyrighted 1920.

Thank you Kenute. That helps solve the mystery.
We produced the 1918 edition. You own the print for the 1920 edition. It is best to think of these as two completely different books as the 1920 edition was a substantial enlargement of the 1918 book. An analogy might be John Calvin's Institutes which is a substantial updating of his 1536 Institutes. They're both called Institutes, some material is the same, but should be considered two different books.
If we were to produce the 1920 edition we would produce it as entirely separate resource that would be distinct from the 1918 edition we did produce.
As for the 1918 edition we did produce and are selling: there is no missing material and thus nothing to update.

Ok Kyle G. Anderson, I am going to ask the question then, when does FAITHLIFE intend to produce the 1920 edition? It would be an awesome resource here on LOGOS. The 1920 Edition is the best edition of DISPENSATIONAL TRUTH.
I am also going to ask why put the 1918 edition here on Logos, when you could have put the 1920 edition here??????

Well, Kyle G. Anderson, we have cleared this situation up, but your silence is deafening to these other questions!
And here is another one. How do I go about getting a refund for this book? Do I just email sales@logos.com?

- We have your suggestion to produce the 1920 edition. Ultimately it will be up to the marketing department to determine if we will post the 1920 edition on community pricing.
- I have never been involved in the decision making process of what gets posted to community pricing. This went into community pricing in 2010. The people that posted it no longer work here. Whatever the decision making process was at the time will forever be a mystery.

I did buy the Logos edition when it came out. I gave my 1920 hardcover edition to my brother (a pastor) because I thought the content would be the same. I would love to buy the 1920 edition in Logos and hope the Marketing Department does move forward with publication.
I understand you have done what you can. Thank you, Kyle, for all your help.

If you are that abased by not having the Enlarged and Revised Edition Copyrighted 1920, you could always go with another (Baptist) software platform available on the market. It has the book you are looking for, and great resolution graphics too, for the charts.
Did you hit your thumb with a hammer, by the way? Just wondering as to the (N)OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!! [:|]

George Gates I was just so frustrated and upset with this, and no one knew what was going on; until we did find out that it was the 1918 version, and not the 1920 Enlarged and Revised Version here on LOGOS.
My questions to them would be:
1. Why don't you have the 1920 Enlarged and Revised Version? ( and there is no excuse for this either).
2. Why are the ebooks of Clarence Larkin's works not as clear, and concise, and in pristine condition on as they are on other Bible Software?
FAITHLIFE charges such exorbitant prices for their books, and their is no reason that they could not have done a better job with the works of Clarence Larkin. They are without excuse. But it's not that they cannot get better ebook editions of his works, because they can. FAITHLIFE can improve his works, but the question is, will they?
George, give me the name of the other Baptist Software Platform on the Market please. Thank you.
Hit my thumb with a hammer. I do not like boldly confronting FAITHLIFE like this, but sometimes you have to if you want to get answers from them!

I am not in sympathy with the tenor of this thread, even if the gist of it is reasonable. However, I do think the graphics quality is hardly acceptable. I hope that if the 1920 edition becomes available that graphics will be higher quality.

I am sorry you feel you must confront Faithlife like an adversary. I believe we are all on the same side (kingdom-wise).
