How Do I Like Logos 6

I was sold on Logos 6 with the Factbook feature. There are other features similar to Factbook in Logos 6, but what these features do, unlike the previous versions of Logos, is automate pulling together resources for certain purposes for you. Sure you can still customize your own search features, but I think one of the reasons the full power of Logos was not being used by some of us is because of our busy lives. We don't always have the time to set up or learn customized searches. So, why not come up with functional features like the Factbook which exploit the full power of Logos which some of us were not using. Logos is a great product, but if you are not using it to its full capability, you don't really realize what you have in your hands. Neither will anyone else for that matter because you won't be a witness as to what Logos can actually do for you.

Welcome to the forums. I think most users probably do not use the full potential of Logos (or any other software). I think most Logos users have favorite features we use regularly, and other features we would like to use more, but still need to learn. There are also some tools and features that many users may never need or use.

You suggest "functional features like the Factbook which exploit the full power of Logos". What do you have in mind?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that because most users likely had not used the full potential of previous Logos versions or because there are features they'd like to use but still need to learn, I have found that features like Factbook have helped to make using Logos easier. These features do the work for you so that Logos can be used to a fuller extent. It seems that the software developers have figured out why people are not using Logos to its fullest extent and have come up with some features that will help them to do so. I find Logos 6 to be more user friendly. The newer features like Factbook is why I was sold on Logos 6 and upgraded the software from Logos 5.

I would like to welcome you to the forums as well Roderick. I too think that Logos 6 is more user friendly but at the same time has many other powerful new features and Logos Now continues to add to these features on a regular basis. It is true that few of us will ever use the full potential of the software but the potential is there if a feature is needed.

Hi, Roderick. Welcome to the forums. As the head interaction designer, that's very gratifying to hear. That's exactly what we hoped that the Factbook would accomplish: It does the work of tying together information from the diverse tools and resources in the software and presents them to you as a "one stop shop" overview.

Keep the new features coming. Especially if they help us to use Logos to its fullest potential. I think you guys and us might be better off when we have tools to do things which we were not doing with earlier versions. It's a winner for you guys through repeat customers and recommendations to others and we have a powerful tool for ministry.
