Best App for teaching from notes on iPad

I'm looking for a App or Pdf send my study notes to so I can use the iPad rather than printing out my notes and using paper. I am creating my notes on Microsoft word, and have used Evernote, but is there a better format to use? Thanks in advance. Newbie to Digital, Mike.

Hi Mike

I tend to preach from Notes within Logos on my iPad.

I prepare notes in Word, create a note which is linked to the relevant passage and paste the text into the Note.

Then I have the Bible app set in split-screen mode with a Bible open in one panel and my Notes document open in another.

Does that make sense?

I have a Samsung tablet. Word to create the notes for my lessons, then I use OfficeSuite to teach my lesson. There is an Word app for iPad that you could use.

I've used PDF expert and love it. Nice thing is that you can mark up your manuscript or notes after it's loaded onto your iPad. Downside is that it costs $10.

You can use WPS Office on any tablet for your .docx files. I use Libre Office, WPS, and Google Drive, all free and easy to share between Mac, Windows, Android and iOs.

Hi Mike,

I am a lecturer and few months ago I started to use JustPerfect from morePaths.com .

It is an app for presentations but there are many templates for publishing newsletters and magazines...

I usually draft my notes and then export everything as pdf . It takes less time to use JustPerfect because the paragraphs are pre-formatted, so I just need to add my text...

In some cases I also use the "lecturer mode" and presented directly on an external screen.

I use Notability - on iPad - I like it because I have the laptop version on my Macbook.

It can save as a rich text file or a pdf to print or share - and it updates to my iPad -

The best thing for me is I can highlight - circle and diagram after writing the outline text.

Sometimes I print - and sometimes I use my iPad - I guess I still like paper around for some reason - lol

I tend to use a kindle e reader (non touch).

I do my notes in word, and email to the Kindle.

I like the kindle because it is not back lit, so I feel less likely to be distracting to some, older, members of the congregation. Also, not being touch screen, I find that I can hold my finger on the screen itself, on a part of my notes when I go 'off on one' and deviate from my notes, as can often happen, and by glancing down can quickly see exactly where I need to return to.

The Kindle is also incredibly light, and in a case just looks like notebook. Having had an original surface pro, and currently having a Samsung note pro 12.2 tablet, I couldn't imagine holding either of those, for even a 20-25 minute sermon, unless I really started to work out, and build my muscles. Lol.That was one of the main drivers in pushing me towards the e - reader kindle, but as I say, I have found the other features I mentioned to be really beneficial since starting to use it.

I use Notability - on iPad

Notability has become my go-to ap for taking notes in church, in meetings, etc. It is ideal...enough complexity to do what I want, but still simple enough to use on the fly. One of the parts I like best is copying text from my bible in Logos (ap), pasting it in Notability, then using the pens and highlighters in Notability to mark the text up (in the old fashioned way!) without marking in my actual paper bible.

I haven't tied it back into Logos in the opposite direction, though. If someone has, please share how.
