Notes

I noticed after upgrading to Logos 6 that some of my notes were only showing up in the NASB and not all Bibles. I recently started using the ESV for my sermon prep and was wondering if there was a shortcut to getting my note files to show up there without having to manually copy and create another note in that Bible. Any suggestions?

Notes can be linked to resources in one of two ways - by "Selection" (where you are linking to a selected portion of text) or by "Reference" (where you link to a particular passage).

Notes by Selection only show up in the resources used when the notes were created whereas those by Reference show up in all versions. So this explains the differences you are seeing.

What you can do is use the ability in Logos 6 to add attachment points.

As Graham mentioned, notes can be attached by "reference" or "Selection." Highlights, by definition, are notes by "selection" and show up only in a single resource. Other notes can be attached to a reference and will appear in any and all versified resources.

For clarification: Note indicators and highlights can be turned on and off visually within any given resource. If you actually did attach notes by "reference," it is possible that you need to turn the appropriate note document ON in the resource's visual filter menu. When I read that you "upgraded to Logos 6," I assumed that you might have known about attaching notes by "reference." If so, this may very well be your issue.
