Is Logos 6 stable enough to upgrade from Logos 5?

I have not been following the updates closely enough to know if Logos 6 has been improved enough from the initial release to warrant upgrading. I have a 2 yo MacBook Air that should be sufficient to handle the software. I prefer to wait until the first major update has been released which catches most of the main bugs. Any advice is appreciated.

I don't know what improvements you are alluding to - I can't think of any major issues in the initial release but it is some time ago!
Logos 6 was released towards the end of last year and the current stable release is 6.4. So there have certainly been some updates since the initial release.
I have been running the stable version since it was released and have been impressed with its stability and reliability (I use a Windows system but from what I have seen discussed on the forums I believe that the general experience of Mac users is similar).
I would go ahead and upgrade

Personally, I have found Logos 6 much more responsive and stable than Logos 5 so far.

I've never considered Logos to be 'stable'. It changes too fast and crashes too often (look at the topic list in the forums if you want empirical support for that proposition).
However, L6 is just as almost-stable as L5 was, in my experience. I recommend you at least take advantage of the free engine upgrade.
