Unexpected CRASHING 6.5 Beta 5 (6.5.0.0018)
Have had the beta installed a couple days with no issues all of a sudden this morning crashes while trying to open- files below- off to work.

I've just had Logos crash with a similar looking error
I had just clicked on a Reading Plan to open a section of a resource to read
EDIT: On restarting Logos I clicked on the same Reading Plan and it opened fine - so the Reading Plan may have nothing to do with the crash

My beta 5 is now crashing constantly. Logs attached from first time. I was working in a Note file, closed it to go back to home page. I suspect it's a Home Page issue, I noitced Home Page had a faithlife today video in the panel with no picture, but that's a guess. I am going to try starting with Ctrl key down, since the first crash it crashes immediately every time I open it.

It's definitely crashing when trying to load the Home Page I think.

Comes up fine with Control key held down, will log in fine. As soon as you hit the Home Page icon, BAM! Crash.

I'm experiencing the same thing but I disconnected my internet and started up Off line and I can work with it okay in the meantime.

And here is my addition.
This occurs on W7 and W10 machines, but I don't think it is due to hardware or version of Windows operating system. I don't have a Mac to test on.
Offline appears to be the workaround for the time being.
Correction: No homepage display appears to be the workaround.

This will be fixed in the next beta. As a workaround, press Ctrl/Cmd at startup to open to a blank layout, then avoid opening the home page. (It's related to an item on today's home page, so it may work fine tomorrow.)

I cannot even get it to open to the reading screen! How am I going to download the fix, if I cannot get it to stay open? Can I get the fix via the forum?

the Ctrl at startup wasn't working for me, it still gave me the homepage.
My work around was to start Logos offline and then go to program settings and change STARTUP OPEN to "blank"
I then closed the program and enabled wifi and restarted Logos. It started with no problems.

Hitting "ctrl" open blank screen was able to access resources without incident, thanks for the work around.

Wish I had the work-around before I uninstalled the beta. Maybe I'll rejoin later.

I tried to call tech support, however they are attending a company sponsored event. It looks like we are not going to be able resolve this until Monday (I hope!)

Please be aware that, in general, Tech Support do not provide support for beta releases

I am now more nervous about this! How will I get this Home page crash fixed? I can hold the Ctl button and get it to go to the Layout screen, but I would like to get to the Home Page too, so I can enjoy the information....

Just updated and I am also getting a crash at start up. Seems to happen when the sync is happening, attached is my log.

As Bradley said earlier in this thread it will be fixed in the next beta - they are normally shipped on either Monday or Tuesday
