BUG: Inline searching not working in Notes

1. Do a search of 'Everything' that highlights a result in a Note document.
2. Click on the search result, the Note document opens up and opens up the note the result is in. Cursor is at the first character of the note.
3. Hit Ctrl-F, the inline search box comes up.
4. Start typing in the inline search box, slowly so you can see what happens. I was typing for example 'para' (without quotes), as the Greek word para was in my search result. I type p, and as soon as I type p the focus is lost, the cursor is gone, and the Note panel has closed to show a list of all the notes in that Note document.
5. If I then click in the inline search pane.and type 'para', it just resets the pane to some random looking (to me) note with nothing within that Note document expanded - not showing any result at all (it's actually AFTER the note that contains para in the list of notes within the document).
I can post a video if someone needs - it seems inline search is broken with a Notes document.

Hi Don
I have tried the steps you outline and get the same results.
I think all Ctrl-F is doing is finding the Note, not position in the note, and so isn't adding any value here.
But I'm not sure it is intended to do anymore than this at the moment.

For me it doesn't even go to the correct note - of about I don't know, 50 notes in the document, and maybe the one with para in is 20th down, it shows the 1 line compact view of the last 6 notes in the document with nothing expanded.

The problem with losing the focus is a bug in either Full or Compact view mode. I have created a case for the problem.
As far as I can tell, the Find box is otherwise operating as expected. It filters down the notes document to only display those notes which contain the text you have typed. I believe it has operated like this for quite a long time.

Thanks Andrew, it could be that the losing focus is the problem, I have not really been able to tell with that occurring. If that can be fixed I can try again.
