Looking for a simple and quick way to switch Bible versions on Android
Here's the scenario: I'm reading the Bible on Android. I wonder, "How does that read in NameVersion?" So I tap the top left icon, and out pops the menu. From it I choose "Library." And instead of choosing from 10 different Bible versions, I need to go through the list of 1,000+ items in my Logos library -- even though 99% of them are not installed on Android!
UPDATE: I think I stumbled across an answer. Two steps:
1) Turn off WiFi (and perhaps cellular too; I don't know, because I don't use that)
2) Sort Library by Title.
It will list only the books present on the Android. (Sort by Author still lists all 1,000 titles.)
It would be nice to have an alternate method that would go directly to a "switch Bible" menu. The intuitive way to do that would be to tap on the Bible version name.
I haven't yet posted this in the Suggestions forum, lest someone tells me how it's already possible in the present Logos.

When you tap the icon and get the Library pane, enter "type:bible" in the filter box and that will just display Bibles

You could also just tap on the Title of the Resource in Reader View and then enter the Bible you wish to compare with. For example, http://screencast.com/t/zIPfHouo .

You can show just the resources you have download, by using the library filter local: (note the colon).
Or, sorting by recent will usually quickly find you your preferred bible.
But, I agree that a 'switch Bible' menu would be useful.

Does this cover it?
Quite a clumsy description - maybe that's why it only has 18 votes...

Jan,
I like your idea best. I voted for it, and so has someone else. We're now up to 24!!!!

I have added my vote also, and the vote count is now at 26.
This should actually be a standard feature for at least the 2 Bible Study Apps (Bible and Study Bible). Most of us that would and does use such a powerful Bible Study program will want to easily switch between translations. I got use to using the workarounds, but this is much better.
EDIT: Add Verbum to the list also that this feature should be standard on.

That's actually not my submission. I don't want to take credit for someone else's creativity [:D]

Jan: You have Somebody has 35 votes now. And if we need the full library while a bible version is active, we could just use the application menu to get there.
