Highlight notes

last Sunday I had to reload my Logos app onto my iPad. Now the note features don't work like they did before.  Before when I began to highlight I could select a note file, that is a highlight note file, for that reading and all subsequent highlights would store in the most recently opened or used note file. Now it always defaults to the top file in the list which never changes. When a person has dozens of note files like I do, this is so cumbersome as to no longer be usable. Each time I want to markup the text I have to scroll through all of my notes. The result I haven't used my iOS logos since last Sunday. I tried again today and it still doesn't work. So what do I need to do to fix this because as low no as this continues I will have to go back to doing all my work on my laptop.

The default behavior has ALWAYS been "palette specific." When you reinstalled the app, the preference would have gone back to the default. You simply need to change the behavior back to your preference. I don't have my iPad with me, and it is slightly different on the iPhone... From the home page, you need to find "settings," then look for "document for highlights." You currently have it set for "palette specific" and you need to change it to "most recent."

There is a new method, which I believe is already on stable (if not, it is in beta now) which is called "resource specific." This is the setting I now use since nearly every highlight I make I desire to go into a note document named for the book being used. If you primarily use "thematic" or "project" note documents, you will want to keep using the "most recent" setting.

Thanks, I just found that, I had been looking all over for that option and could not find it.  It is under Tools then Settings, then document for highlighting

It is very old, from at latest the 70's. I don't actually use it since it is a keepsake from my grandfather who died when I was a toddler.

    That is fun. [:)]
