The right-click copy function in the speed search result set only copies the bible reference adress but does not copy the verse itself.

Interesting. B2 was unusable for me - typing was unbelievably slow. B3 seems to be much better.
Pastor Fred,
I posted on another post at the forum; Logos seems to be very succeptable to your specific hardware/software config.
I've noticed that if I install something or make a change to my laptop...Logos can get downright stuttery...
Then I roll back to a previous time...when Logos was younger and the software was not installed, and all is well..
It could be the other software and not Logos...but I noticed that for me, B3 was generally less responsive..
It's frustrating that there isn't a clear pattern from user to user, machine to machine, or anything...

the crashing on startup because it is trying to access the Home page is a big annoyance, especially when demonstrating L4. I know this will be reviewed and fix, hopefully sooner than later.
Any word on this problem with the Home Page failing to start?

It will be fixed in Beta 4, but we don't have a workaround until then.

Logos crashes when adding Visual Filter Files to Favorites Folders...
I can't reproduce this. Please post more detailed steps to reproduce this problem, and a log file of the crash.

Any time frame for Beta 4 [:$]?
BTW: Thanks for all your efforts Bradley and everyone else at Logos. Can never say it enough, really! [:D]

Against my better judgement and Logos' warnings, I installed the Beta.
I was seduced by the return of Bible Speed Search. They typing response for that is unbelievably slow.
Any fixes on the way? I am actually thinking of doing a reinstall. A day of downloading and indexing. Please no!
That's what I get for getting greedy for Speed Search!

I open the "Favorites" panel --> I go back to "File" and find an existing "Visual Filter" --> I drag the filter item to the folder (hover around a little) --> dropt the item in the folder --> crash.
Sometimes the crash occurs when I select the "file menu" sometimes a second after the item is dropped, sometimes while I am hovering.

My experience is that Speed search is sometimes faster, but not enough to be called "speedy". The typing response is fairly similar to normal "bible search" - some have suggested doing away with the look-ahead for a valid word.

You could use Method 3 at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers and avoid the download!

Thanks Dave!
I decided to do that. Indexing now.
Looking forward to Speed Search working at top speed!

Well Bradley I was able to get a work around by being able to click on Customize on and uncheck show Home Page before Logos 4 failed and shutdown. So now I can get Logos 4 to startup to my last layout without pressing the CTRL key. As long as I stay away from the Home tab I'm good. Which might be why a number of folks here aren't seeing the issue because they turned off the Home Page on startup. Nice to know that this will be addressed in Beta 4.
Just wanted to provide and update.

Bug or missing feature? The space bar does not work to scroll down pages in search results. It does work in a resource window.
Scrolling with the mouse does not work in either.

As betas unwrap new features, it seems clear that the list of upcoming features on the Logos 4 page only describes major features that are due. Yet when Logos 4 was first released and it lacked certain features such as speed search, the initial responses (as I recall) was that the feature had been dropped out (but has now been reimplemented).
It leaves me to wonder -- when I do not find a minor feature that was in Logos 3 but is not (so far) in Logos 4 -- whether it has been dropped or whether it is in the pipeline. Example: we use to be able to choose a style for notes (highlight, underline, etc). I found it less obstrusive to use underline in article notes than highlighting (yes, I know I can shut it off). Now, it seems that I can only choose highlighting (or am I missing something).
I'd be interested to get some perspectives from Logos folks as to the broader question of minor features implementation plans. Are a number of them simply not implemented yet but planned (we should just wait when we miss something)? Is there a fuller list somewhere that users can look at to know what to expect? Or, does the Logos staff await to see whether users will complain that a feature is missing to decide whether they will consider having it in Logos 4?
