Well, the good news is that for those who did not have it, you are getting a great freebie this week in Milgrom's shorter version of his classic commentary on Leviticus. The bad news is that for those of us who own the Continental series, it's the second freebie to pass us by.

Hence the request, I know the freebies are supposed to be from Fortress Press: would it be possible at all not to have them all from Continental/Hermeneia so that owners of the series can benefit as well?

Weird. It worked just fine for me last week. I see the share post on my facebook page and I got the download. This time, I share ... and see it on my facebook page. But the link to get it is still disabled.

Same for me... But...

After logging out from facebook and liking again via logos, logos asked me to sign in to facebook... finally it worked... but with TWO Milgrom-Logos-likes on my facebook page now. ... ... ...

I'm not sure that it has been stated explicitly, but in the past the sale has ended around mid-September. It's typically about a month long.

Make it 4. It's simple: all the freebies so far (and it looks like it may just be like this to the end) are from the Continental/Hermenia series. These are really great freebies for those who don't have them.

Perhaps a suggestion for FL is to consider that too much focus on one series will leave those who own them out. An alternative would be either to vary the freebies more or to have some kind of alternate plan for those who own the series. I know that freebies are not an obligation, and I am very grateful for all those I have received, so this is not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Freebies are great but if you already own it I don't think Logos needs to accommodate anybody to get something else as an option. If you have it you have it if you don't then good for you, you got lucky. But why ask for something else when something else it's not for free? Makes no sense. They would run out of business if they did that.

Well I for one didn't have them, and am grateful to be getting them.

I've never had any exposure to continental or hermeneia before now, and so owning a couple titles gives me exposure I probably wouldn't have had otherwise and assuming I like the product will result in the purchase of both (obviously, unless I don't like them).

It does make sense. Freebies benefit FL, not just users because (1) They allow users to sample products which may lead to purchase decisions (for instance, with regard to commentary series) and (2) Freebies help tie users to the platform: you are less likely to leave a platform when you have much in it; (3) Freebies attract new users to the platform: how many products do you recommend on social media? Well, 100% of those who got the back-to-school freebies did and I would think that a much lesser proportion of those who were not motivated by the freebie to do so, ended up doing it anyway.

They already offered a freebie, just because you happen to have it already doesn't mean they have to accommodate you and offer you something else. Your words are the words of a free-loader (IMHO).
