Highlight sensitivity problems on iOS
I've really been struggling highlighting with the iPad app when in page turning mode. After I tap on a word to highlight it, with other apps (such as kindle), you can extend the selection by grabbing the anchor and extending the selection to the text you'd like to highlight. Problem is, if I don't try to extend the selection within the first few milliseconds of highlighting, Logos (and Vyrso) apps interpret the selection attempt as a page scroll and I'm unable to highlight.
I've tried to enable Smart Text Selection and Swipe to Highlight to no avail. And as mentioned, the Kindle app nor other iOS Bible/Book apps behave in this fashion only Faithlife apps. Anyone else run into this?

I sometimes, but rarely, see this. One way to get round it is when you are extending the selection to first of all either go down or up (which can't be interpreted as a page scroll). This seems to lock in "selection" and you can then select as required.

I don't think I have seen this with Swipe to Highlight enabled.

What device are you using? I'm on a gen 3 iPad. Maybe due to speed difference? In any case, looks like I'm not alone. What's the official mechanism to file a bug report?

You are correct, doesn't happen w/Swipe to Highlight, but I don't like the behavior of that configuration, so its not an option for me.

The air is significantly faster so that could be why you don't see it as often.

If it was occasional, I might be prone to agree with you. But this makes reading an unbelievably frustrating experience. I spend more time trying to highlight something than I do reading and that shouldn't be. [;)]

I'm unable to reproduce this issue, so here are a few questions:
- Does this happen will every resource you've tried or just certain ones?
- Are the resource downloaded or not?
- Is your iPad in landscape or portrait mode?
- Have you changed the text size value in Reader View?0 -

- Yes, my font was changed to exactly 50% of max (I'm unsure of what point size that resolves to
- Swipe to Highlight is disabled and smart text is enabled.

One other data point. If the selection starts in around the center of the page, I don't seem to experience the issue. Its only when the selection starts somewhat near the left or right margins that it exhibits itself.

What helps me after double tapping a word, is to place finger on small bold circle and pause for about one second before swiping additional text. I hope this action works for you.

An alternate method is to place finger on first word, pause for about one second, then swipe additional text. This process is done without lifting the finger until all desired text is highlighted.

Thanks! The double tap still wasn't working reliably for me near the page margins, but the tap and drag seems to work very well so far.
