Reading Plan for Multiple users

Is there a way to create a reading plan for family members? If they use Logos4 on our second computer, or if I create a seperate user identity on the same machine, will this not just add more books to my own list?

How would I create a unique reading plan for each family member?

the Logos User License is only for one user therefore L4 is not designed to accomodate multiple users on one account. However, there are a couple of options.

First option, you could use some of the free bibles (I think the KJV on L4 is free) and create a user account for each family member and then a reading plan using the KJV. Second option, you could purchase a copy of the preferred Bible translation for each family member under a unique user account. Then have them log in under their UN and PW and set-up their own reading plan.

Bob has actually said that he considers your spouse and yourself as a single user, but not your brother-in-law. But even with that caveat, I don't expect to see them design the interface to accommodate that.

On your account you should be able to set up as many reading plans as you like just give them different names. That's what I've done in the past for my children.

Hi Terry, then as "one user" they can share "one" reading plan. Michael's solution would work as well for reading plans with different names. However, if a user wants to guarantee no one uses the wrong reading plan or guarantee privacy for notes, they need to have multiple accounts. That is why I offered my suggestion because my assumption was there was an interest in making sure multiple users did not accidently use and mark the wrong reading plan.

Thanks for the ideas. You're right, Joe. I don't want the kids to have access to my plans. A few wrong clicks, and I have a mess. I do, however, want my family to be able to read the books I have in my library with a systematic reading plan. I bought them, and I want each to read whatever they can handle.

In Logos3 we could accomplish this with multiple user accounts on the computer. Of course, the plans only covered the Bible - you already know that, I have no doubt. I love the ability to create reading plans for any of my books. That is wonderful addition. I suppose "multiple readers" is a feature for which I'll have to wish, even if in vain.[:(]

Why wish in vain? Write up a suggestion giving reasons you want it (just like you did here) and post it in the suggestions forum.
