Missing resources using 3.0f on Windows 7

Hi:

I just got a new Dell Studio laptop running Windows 7, and after some trouble, finally managed to get 3.0f installed and working.

The problem is that it doesn't show that I have any resources. I did the install from my old discs, and everything is copied to the hard drive, but my library is blank.

The resources copied to C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources.

There's nothing on the support website to address this. Would so appreciate some help!

I have Libronix 3.0g on Win7 and it's working just as expected. Try some of the updates below. You're using 3.0f, but 3.0g was just released a few weeks ago. If after doing these updates and restarting Logos you still have an empty library and can't open any books report back.

Update to latest version of LDLS (3.0g)

Thanks for responding. I took your advice, and ran all the updates. I now am running 3.0g, and have Logos materials (help manuals and so forth) showing in the library, but still none of my books.

If you open your L3 Library Browser and look at "All Locked Resources," do you see anything?

If so, your issue is probably a licensing one. This may be fixed by running the Account Manager (Tools>Account Management).

If you don't see anything in the Library Browser, look at Tools>Options>General and click on the Resource Path.

For Win7 64 bit it will be this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources

For Win7 32 bit it will be this: C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources

If that looks like it should and you're still not seeing your resources in your library browser, something is messed up that may require calling customer service.

Nothing shows in the "locked resources", and the resource path is what you indicate.

So, I'm on hold with Logos support.

It turns out that despite my laboring over the annoying disk swapping from my old Libronix 3 disk set, and the electronic words of encouragement that all was copied, nothing had been copied.

I ended up deleting the "Resources" folder from the Logos program file, which contained nothing but Libronix helps; copying my "Resources" folder from my old computer on to a high capacity jump drive; and then copying it to the new computer in the Logos program file.

Now everything works.

Moral of the story? Challenge assumptions!

I just installed Logos 3 following Richard's advise... it worked flawlessly.

I was actually having several problems while using Win XP, the Win 7 is working well'
