can't move app to external SD Card
Does anyone know why with the latest version 4.6.4(build 443) of the Logos app, I can't move the app to an external SD Card?

This scenario is not (and has never been) supported.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Prior to the latest update (at least on Android 4.4 which is what I use) when going to Settings->Apps->Verbum the "Move to SD card" button was active and could be clicked. Since updating that button is now greyed out and not active. What the "Move to SD card" actually did, I do not know--but it certainly was active before this update.
Along these lines, I see that in Verbum 4.6.4 the resource files are downloaded to /sdcard/Android/data/com.logos.androidverbum/install/resources. The /sdcard symlink on my phone links to the emulated sdcard and hence is actually putting the files it downloads on the internal storage, and not the external sdcard. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change the data directory to point to my actual sdcard?
I have seen tricks on Android to make this happen independent of the app, but it seems the general methods require root access which I am not interested in messing with.
Thanks!
Chris

What I mean is that Faithlife does not support this scenario.

I don't know if it was ever officially supported by Logos. The only reason why it is important for me is that it frees up more more built in storage space on my phone. If you only have 16GB every bit helps. If the Logos app could store data on my external SD card would be great but it has never been able to do that. Regardless if it was officially supported or not this is a step back for me.

I only have 4 GB on my reader, and 8 GB on my phone, so I know what you mean... [:S]
Have a look whether you have the option for "default storage location" available.
http://www.trishtech.com/2014/06/change-default-storage-for-android-device/(I don't, by the way...)
Another option would be rooting your device, and using a tool like DirectoryBind:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/themes-apps/tool-directorybind-data-to-externalsd-t1410262That second option is not only unsupported though, but has the capacity to damage your device permanently.
I've only done it with my reader. Don't mind if I wreck a $100 e-reader, but my $300 phone I don't want to risk losing...
