Yes, I agree with that. The 'headline' discount percentage is worthless on dynamically priced items.
Not only that but misleading as well. I need 3 of the Word Commentaries which I can get for $9.99 per volume ($29.97) but if I take their deal I pay only $32.18
I believe I saw something in the forums that this was due to a publisher restriction, that Faithlife were aware of it and were offering some credit as compensation to those who took the whole set rather than individual volumes.
You'd need to find the original article for the exact details.
In general, I agree that showing the discount of the not-owned volumes would be better than the current discount with dynamic pricing - I can't think of any rational reason I'd want to know the latter.
