The new Zondervan NIV Study Bible edited by D.A. Carson

Now that this new Bible has been out for a few weeks, what is your opinion of it? Personally, I believe it is more than well worth the price - basically like getting a good commentary on the entire Bible. The illustrations/pictures appear to be excellent along with some very good supplementary articles. Even though I have an extensive theological library 2500+ volumes in Logos, I have found this Bible, along with the ESV Study Bible and the MacArthur Study Bible to be extremely valuable for quick reference and solid insight.
What experience has the Logos community had with this new Bible?

It's way better than the last one [6]

It's the perfect companion to the ESV bible. [;)]
When it comes to using a study bible for a quick check, I like to do the same thing as you and look at a couple.
Though so far I feel like the NIVZSB more or less overlaps / intersects ESVSB, so if something is skipped in one, I often find it to be true with the other too.

This does indeed look like a good resource. I take it there is no discount though, in conjunction with the Zondervan/Thomas Nelson September Sale?

Was disappointed in the very little study notes on the Book of Revelation in The New Zondervan NIV Study Bible; otherwise, I find it to be good.
As for the ESV, it is not a favorite translation of mine at all.
The MacArthur Study Bible is fantastic! Have been spiritually enriched for years now by John MacArthur's books and commentaries.
