Misleading hovertext

Recently, when you hover over the download indicator, you get the hover text "An application update has been installed". This is misleading. It needs to reference the fact that you won't benefit from the update until you restart.

I suggest one of:

"An application update is ready to be applied"
"An application update will be applied when you restart"

It implies that if you click it, but not if you hover.

I agree, when I first encountered this I assumed the update had already been applied, and I kept checking my version number and seeing no difference, and then I finally clicked it and saw, it will be applied after restart. A bit ambiguous IMO

I have to check on the next download, but I believe my Windows install correctly says on restart, but my Mac says as the OP showed...so it maybe platform dependent on what each person sees.

No, the difference (at least so far as my Windows is concerned) is on hover - as OP pointed out says "installed" but should say "downloaded" or "ready to be installed" - versus click - says will be installed on restart.

Just to add another thought...blue circle should change to something else when a restart is needed...
