I am not familiar with this resource and it is one of the Black Friday specials. Can anyone give me any input or recommendations for this series.

This is a commentary series which is less technical (you wouldn't get lots of untransliterated Greek), but which is consistently ranked very high on bestcommentaries.com and in books like DA Carson's commentary review. Until last year or so these works featured with many "stars" (=buy these!) in the Denver Seminary NT commentary list - they seem to switch their list from "best in class" to more recent material. BST consistently features in the Exegetical summaries series which are very selective in choosing the resources they include.
John Stott edited the BST series and wrote about half of the books. I own all those he wrote in paper, nevertheless I happily bought the Logos edition very early in my Logos carreer (don't even remember if there was a sale/discount). For the black Friday price it's a steal.
Can anyone give me any input or recommendations for this series.
It's evangelical (John Stott). Great for pastors preparing sermons, or anyone doing their own BIble study. Holds your interest well.
It's not an academic text, and doesn't contain the very latest scholarship (as it's a few decades old).
It's very good value at present (Black Friday sales). You can't go wrong. Grab it!
Good scholarship. John Stott is the editor. Not as technical as some, and does not require much knowledge of Greek to benefit from it. Emphasis is on communicating the message of the Scripture passage. Great for preachers, and for lay persons as well.
Highly recommend it.
Bible Speaks Today - Ephesians 5:18-21 excerpt:
Keep Smiling [:)]
Like Ronald I was not that familiar with this resource so I appreciated the endorsements. It's in my cart now.
Looks good, so I will probably get it.
Thanks for all the replies - very helpful.
BST is one of my favorite commentaries. I just wish Logos had the OT volumes, but I understand from past posts that IVP is waiting until all of the volumes in the OT have been published.
Are practical purchases and examples to the present contained in the commentary "The Bible Speaks Today", how it is in the commentary "NIV Application Commentary" the case? Thanks

Welcome to the forums Steven. I've read your sentence over several times but I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Could you please re-word your question or explain in a bit more detail what you are asking? Thanks.
