Incomplete Tagging ... rebuild library command
Hi.
According to my library, I have 190 resources tagged as ReadMe [one day!] ()
Of these, 66 of them are on my iPad ... (Screenshots below)
When online with my iPad I see only 12 resources tagged as ReadMe ... Fewer when offline!
I do not believe that this is a timing issue with sync ... most of these resources have been tagged as ReamMe for months, even years! And similarly, many have been ticked so that they should be on my iPad.
Obviously they are not on my iPad (AFAIK). How can I force the iOS device to check any sync?
I do not want to uninstall ... that way dos not seem to work reliably. Most of the time I get errors about downloads not completing ... and am then left not knowing what is on the device, and what is not.
Restarting the iPad does not help, nor does simply restarting the App ... there are too many resources missing ... too many missed 'tags' ... the device has been restarted, and the app restarted, many times over the last month.
Thanks.

A sync is forced when you reopen the app. Instead, try the command rebuild index on HomePage
On the iOS app?
I have recently rebuilt the desktop index for a different reason.
How many downloaded resources do you have?
According to the iPad ... 7192 online. 875 when offline.
According to the desktop 7301 unhidden, 878 with device:iPad
I understand the discrepancy between the two big numbers ... but not between the two small numbers ... and not between the numbers outlined in the OP ... which are still showing the following
iPad, mytag:ReadMe ... 12 online, 9 offline
Desktop Library mytag:ReadMe device iPad ... 66

Yes - it updates the information held the library on the mobile app.
You enter it in the reference box on the homepage. The only indication that anything is happening is the iOS "sync wheel"

Sometimes I harp on this, but the mobile app really not meant to have so many downloaded resources. The best fix for many issues is a reinstall, but having many downloads complicates this and creates its own set of problems as you have discovered.
