Has anyone had any issues with Logos 6 when upgrading to OS X El Capitan?
Thanks!
Yes several people have had issues with it.

You can then sort results like this (if you already know this, others may not)...
I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro with 8Gb memory. Logos 6 is working great on it, and it feels even a little faster.
FWIW, I did a clean install of the operating system and was rewarded with an extra 30Gb of disk space. Previously I just did updates from Lion, to Mountain Lion, to Mavericks.
Well, I did it this way. I upgraded to El Capitan and next I upgraded from Logos 5 to Logos 6.6 without any problems.
The only difference I have noticed is that when closing the program, the synchronization takes a tad longer.

Care to explain? I am unaware of any current El Capitan specific issues directly related to Logos. I am aware of some issues with Office 2016 however.
Here's one your familiar with...

Not sure why you wouldn't consider within the last two weeks to be current
I am not saying no one has got it working, just that there have been reported issues recently. Which was DeWayne's original question..."Has anyone had any issues"
When I first upgraded, I had thought that Logos needed to fix a problem with how it handled Split View. But by the end of the day, I discovered the problem was with Apple's Split View itself—it's vastly inferior to how Windows handles it.
I haven't encountered any of the other problems mentioned, but I suspect that is because I am a novice when it comes to using all the features of Logos/Verbum
There is a problem with your logic: The users had issues concurrent with their update to El Capitan. Their issues, however, had nothing to do with their updating to El Capitan. They may have thought so, but they were mistaken. Their issue was experienced by users who were already on El Capitan beta, those who had just updated, and those who were on various builds of yosemite. The issue was completely Logos related, and not El Capitan related. Again, as far as I know, there is no evidence of an El Capitan specific Logos bug.
I upgraded to El Captain Day 1 and have had no issues with Logos.
Has anyone had any issues with Logos 6 when upgrading to OS X El Capitan? Thanks!
No, not with Logos 6. But be wary if you plan on using Office 365 (Mac) or Mac Office 2016 as both are not working right at present. Microsoft has promised a fix. Mac Office 2011 is still fully functional with El Capitan.

Charles,
You just talked me out of upgrading... I didn't consider Office Products. Thanks Brother, DeWayne
They may have thought so, but they were mistaken.
Ok, so if they thought so, and posted about it, then it is understood by it would be generally assumed that there have been issues. If you knowing precisely what happened in each case, can verify otherwise, than that's fair enough. All I know is that I'd seen several posts about issues that were at least assumed by the users to be related to their update to El Capitan. If there are no current (exclusively El Capitan related) issues, that's good news.

That just simply is not the case. There has not been a single confirmed case of any El Capitan specific issues. Again: just because a forum member <thought> It was related, doesn't make it so. If it were related, a reinstall would not have fixed the issue. Rather, the issue was related to a corrupt upgrade which coincidentally happened at the same time. Likely the user had not restarted thier app until they were forced to do so by the OS X update.

Fair enough, I just reported what I saw, and if those cases were resolved and proven to be unrelated than like I said, that's good news.

I have the latest Office 365 installed and I have not seen any issues....
Thanks Dustin,
A little hesitant because I am still in Bible School (time is critical). My Mac is setup perfect and would hate to have to completely rebuild from scratch. Couple of the new features like Note seem promising but I currently use Evernote. I hear there is a significant increase in speed, so that is really what gets my attention. Probably the best thing to do is get another Mac here soon and migrate.DeWayne
MSFT released an update to Office yesterday. I am hearing that most users have seen their problems resolved, but not all. In your situation, I would recommend waiting until the winter break.
My issue was the dumbing down of MS Word. Custom Toolbars are gone. Custom keyboard is also bye-bye. The ribbon is non-customizable. The word from the MSFT forum was that this would not be fixed in the Mac version although these features are available for Windows.
these features are available for Windows.
Yes I can verify these are still available for Windows

I would like for my information to be incorrect. If MS restores custom toolbars, I will consider an upgrade. Otherwise, Word 2011 still works well.
Maybe this thread would be better titled "Office for Mac (to upgrade or not to upgrade)".
