opening app in read mode
Is there a setting on the Android app that will allow the app to open in the read mode? I would really like to know how to do this, if it's possible.

Hi Rob,
Welcome to the forums. The next stable release of the Android apps will open where you left off, so if you closed the app in Read mode it will open in Read mode the next time you run it.

Sounds like a great new feature. [Y]

Thanks, Kevin! That's good to know.
I just hope that they don't "break" something else in the next update of the Android app. I also have the Logos app on my iPad. After the latest update, I can't scroll down with double panes - only side to side, which messes up the sync.

Me too, since I work closely with the mobile developers and am the tester on the mobile team. So, "they" includes me. Thing is, bugs can (and do) happen. We try our best.

Have you opened View Settings to check whether Scrolling View is on?

Under Tools | Settings, there is not even a category for scrolling in the latest iPad app.
Please communicate my request about not messing up the scrolling issue in the Android app to the developers. Thanks!

I will try to post a screenshot of my settings in Logos on my iPad. As you can see, there is no option for scrolling, as there used to be and as there currently is in the Android app. In the iPad app, there's nowhere else to go to find that setting.
Rob, the Scrolling View setting was never an option in Tools > Settings in our iOS apps and was not removed at any time. The Android app and iOS app are not exactly the same. View Settings (as I mentioned earlier and as shown in the screencast) can be accessed (on both iOS and Android) as follows:
1) Open a resource.
2) Tap once on the screen.
3) Tap the "Aa" icon.
4) Look for the "Scrolling View" Toggle.
5) Slide the toggle to "On".
6) Tap Done.
7) Tap once on the screen. In other words, Tools > Settings is not the same as View Settings.

Perfect! Thanks so much. It doesn't seem terribly intuitive to put that setting there, but it works. Thanks again!

Glad to hear it's working for you! We find the setting to be intuitive because one can change View Settings while reading a resource, instead of having to navigate away from the resource. Less "keystrokes" (as we used to say).
