TIP of the day: Logos.com See Inside - Table of Contents
This small tip of the day adresses a question that comes up once and again in the forums, on faithlife or in product reviews:
Someone posts: "It would be helpful if the "See Inside" feature would give a preview of the entire table of contents." My answer: But it does!
Yes, unfortunately the limited amount of text visible through the biblia plug-in is truncated and may not give enough information to check out the valiue of the resource - in not too rare cases even giving only incomplete coverage of the table of contents.
But the website designers for Faithlife implemented a special feature to show the ToC, even with show/hide sub-chapter details!
Click this button in the see-inside window...
...and voila, we're there:
This tip is applicable to all Faithlife shop sites ( Logos.com , Vyrso.com, Noet.com, Verbum.com and possibly more ) that work with the see-inside functionality.
Hope it helps!

This has been an issue for me from time to time and I didn't realize that this feature had been implemented. Thanks for the great tip. It will save a lot of time having to go to amazon.com to check the Table of Contents there.
By the way, how long has this feature been active? Not sure how how missed it but I did.

This goes back quite some time now: Google helps me in finding I wrote about this two years ago in this thread, but the feature goes back to Jan 2012: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/42489/333555.aspx#333555

Well, the button is not really self-explanatory to most users (given the available space in the bar, it would better read ToC in letters than look like MS Word's button for left-aligned paragraph text) in a situation where most people look inside the display window than to the frame.
But no worries - the forums are a place to learn something new everyday (and for us 40+ aged people sometimes to learn things anew we once knew) - and I'll keep answering questions that ask for the ToC and now we even can capture this thread in MJ's collection of Tips-of-the-day.

Thanks for this neat tip. Just yesterday I did a See Inside for a book but couldn't find the TOC; I went back now and was able to really see inside [:)]
