whenever I open the "companion link" in Unseen realm it crashes L6- has happened 6 of 6 times i tested it.
Since I can't replicate (it opens www.moreunseenrealm.com without issues in 3 out of 3 cases from 3 different links in the book for me), it might help to hear about your system's OS version, the browser you use and the book data.
It works for LLS:UNSEENREALM Version 2015-10-23T17:27:34Z opening Chrome on Windows 7 Home 32bit for me on the Logos 6.8 Beta 1 release.

this behaviour happens within the footnotes- tried again this morning same result- clicking the link within the footnote, opens the website but causes L6 to crash

Soory the links are opening in Edge not Chrome.
I have found right clicking on the companion site link within footnote, then ticking open link does not produce the same- behaviour, opens fine no crash in Edge.
Don't know if that helps.
Also found that hovering over bible verse is not producing pop-up- strange.
All this seem to appear after last Beta update.
