I am wondering if anyone knows of an easy way to show which books have been downloaded to a device..
thanks
If you are looking at the desktop app, then there will be a check box for each resource in the info panel of that resource.
If you are looking at the library screen in iOS, there should be an info circle on the right hand side for each item. Those coloured in are local to your device, others are available but not on your device.
In the library view, type local: and it will only show the downloaded resources.
Hold resource and swipe down ... it will tell you the number of resources that are stored locally on your device.

all of what Martin said...
and switch to Airplane Mode.

For clarification: Mike meant "OR switch to Airplane Mode," which will show you only your downloaded resources since you are offline. You don't need to switch to Airplane Mode to use the other techniques.
