I find two different pieces of information about this command.
1. On the Logos web site ( http://www.logos.com/L4/training/CommandBar ) it states:
rebuild index – rebuilds the main index if there is a supplemental index; restarts the Indexer from the beginning if it is already running
2. On the wiki ( http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Commands):
Rebuild Index forces a complete reindex of the library. (It cannot be activated if indexing is already running).
I think we need to know which of these two functions the command executes.
According to the Logos site explanation Rebuild Index works only if there is a supplemental index. It does not rebuild the entire index from scratch. (At least this is my understanding of what is said.) It also states that it will restart the indexer if it is running.
According to the wiki, the command rebuilds the index from scratch and cannot be executed if the indexer is already running.
I've advised some users to use this command when they were having indexing trouble. If the Logos site description is correct, that often won't help. So which is it?
