Just curious... I ordered this three book collection last August...

seeing it was going to ship late November. Even two days ago it was noted as shipping on the 24th. When it didn't ship I looked to see if perhaps the ship date had bumped. Whoa... it is back to "gathering interest!" Now I'm thinking I will buy from Amazon. Anyone know what happened? Thanks.

Such unfortunate things have happened before. It might be that Faithlife miscalculated something (or found tagging errors/inadequacies in a last test and sent it back to production, but put the cost onto the budget to be reached by prepub). Alternatively, a lot of buyers might have canceled their preorders (a sentence to that effect is in the confirmation mails as of lately) - quite possible that the updated handling of payment plans forced a large number of customers into canceling their PrePub orders to free up liquidity. In that case it would be evidence that Faithlife loses quite an amount of sales throigh that move.
That is frustrating Steve. I feel for you as I've had this sort of thing happen in the past as well. I'm not sure we will ever truly know why but NB. Mick identified some good possibilities.
Wow... OK. I've never seen this happen before. Maybe I will buy at AMZ. Maybe someone from Faithlife knows the situation and it will ship soon. Would prefer to buy here. Thanks for your thoughts. Steve
Maybe I will buy at AMZ.
Are the books really worth $130 in print?
Hi everyone! Unfortunately, there were a number of pre-orders cancelled on this set, and that has dropped the funding below necessary to ship. The resources are still under development on our end, but due to a variety of factors, we don't ship Pre-Pubs until they're 100% funded.
So let your friends know they need to pre-order today! [:)]

Gabe, thanks for the official word. Would you mind checking the item in this similar thread? https://community.logos.com/forums/t/119319.aspx
It's bad faith of Faithlife to be doing this. You, not we, need to absorb the fallout from your payment plan changes.
interesting to know!
From the forums I have learned that there are a number of reasons that people pre-order then cancel. This has included a few threads promoting behavior I question the ethics of. How do you know that the cancellations causing this delay were due to the change in payment plans? Given that some of us didn't even know they could go on payment plans, I'm not willing to make that assumption although I am willing to consider the possibility.

To be clear, this isn't related to payment plans. Pre-Pubs are "pay now" products.
It's simply a situation where more people cancelled their pre-orders than typical. (We see a number of cancelled Pre-Pub pre-orders once we set ship dates, this one just had more than is workable—both for us and our publishing partners.)

Gabe... Thanks for responding.
Well everyone... consider helping get this published [:D]. I understand it offers a balanced POV, is highly regarded, and at a much lower price than AMZ!

I do think it could be somewhat related to payment plan policy changes.
I image some people were planning to "pay now" for pre-pubs and "pay later" for items from Black Friday, Christmas sale and so on by adding them to the payment plan.
But now many of us will be forced to "pay now" for sale items because of inability to add them to payment plans, and so there is no money left for some of the pre-pubs.
