Renaming Logos File Folder

My Logos 6 is within a folder named Logos 4- is it safe to rename this folder, say to Logos 6, will it cause any issues?
I also want to backup this up- do I just need the folde within the data folder?

I concur with Dominc... You can't do this. If you are working from windows (I think you are, right?) A complete FRESH install should create L6 named folders... this is not true with Mac, which for interesting, but highly technical reasons will maintain and L4 folder structure even with brand new installations.

I believe the info you want is in this wiki article: https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

Thanks- started to back up my files to an external hard drive to have back up copy, so if I have to reinstall it will be quicker.

No, you cannot rename the installation folder.
(Logos 4 installed into "Logos4"; unfortunately, Logos 5 and Logos 6 had to upgrade the program in-place in that folder, because it's not easy technically to rename it.)

You should back up the entire "Logos4" folder including Data, Documents, and Users.
