Is there a way to change the "type" on a book in your library?

The issue I'm having is, I have a ton of "Monograph" type books that actually belong in a different "Type" column. Everything from devotionals and commentaries can be found under the type heading "Monograph".

I'd like to know if there is a way to change the "Type" of a book so that they are properly categorized.

The answer is "no." To clarify: The "type" is really a Logos designation, which has meaning within the software. "Monograph" is a pretty general designation. In some cases, the "type" indicates that the resource has certain features. It wouldn't be accurate to change a book, for example, that is a devotional by content to "calendar devotional" if it hasn't been tagged as such.

Another option for you, however, would be to simply create a tag system so that you can designate books as you desire.

There are some instances where books have been mislabeled, so if you have a specific example, we can take a look.

This is not something you can change on your own, but you can make specific suggestions regarding what you want Faithlife to change (though there is no garauntee they will implement the changes you request). I remember reading somewhere that they have plans to re-label some monographs into other types, but I don't recall what the specific plans were. In the meanwhile you can use tagging and collections to help organize things the way you want them.

I remember reading somewhere that they have plans to re-label some monographs into other types, but I don't recall what the specific plans were.

Recently some monographs were re-typed as "Systematic Theology". I don't recall other specific plans, but someone else might.
