Parallel Resources now available in web app.
Parallel Resources are now available within the web app.
Clicking on the icon, will bring up a resource selector that you can filter by typing into the input box.
It is not yet functional with headwords but hopefully will be soon.
Let me know, of any bugs, performance issues, or improvements that could be made.

This is great, thanks!
It seems to work pretty well for Bible references, but not for other datatypes. For me personally, headwords would be a priority over other datatypes, but I certainly would like to see this for other datatypes.
I did notice that the prioritisation isn't quite right, either. (This has been/is a problem in various places with web services.) The issue is that advanced prioritisation that applies a prioritisation only to one book is not ignore by the web service. To replicate
- Add a Bible to the top of your prioritisation list.
- Use advanced prioritisation to specify that this applies only to a particular resource (it doesn't matter which one, but perhaps choose something obscure).
- Use the parallel resource tool in the web app.
- Note that the Bible you've just prioritised appears at the top of the list, whereas it should only show at the top of the list if you're in a specific resource.
Not a big deal, but I thought you should know.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Seth,
This is excellent. Thanks!
One question, I'm not sure what this is called, but will the functionality that will allow you to reference within volumes be available with parallel resources?
For example, if I open up BEC and sync the panels with LEB and type in John 1:1, the John volume of BEC would show up. If I type in Eph 1:1, the BEC volume of Ephesians (assuming its exists) would then show up in the same panel pointing to the Eph. 1:1.
I use this functionality almost daily on the desktop version.
Thanks!
David

Headword support for parallel resources has shipped. It is a bit slower than reference support but should be functional. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll investigate it.
