Unable to install

Hi,

I have recently purchased Logo's 6 Gold bit are just getting "Unable to download a required file" straight after running the setup file.

I have read through the support article about the issue and have tried disabling the firewall and the virus scanner on the machine. I have checked and BITS it running and downloading in the background (in dos window bitsadmin /list say logos is downloading) but it just exits.

Is there anything else I can do to get this installed?

Is there anywhere where I can just download the full install files rather than do it though the downloader?

Any suggestions appreciated

Hi Warren, sorry you're having problems.

We'd need install logs to determine what's wrong. Step 4 here shows you how to get setup logs: https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem

You'll find the logs in your documents folder (under "Logos Log Files"). Upload them here and hopefully we can work out what's going on.

    Hi,

Yes I saw the logging options and had already downloaded these files to try and get more information, I started the logging and the script says that it's running, I then started the install and then stopped the logging but I am unable to find the log files, there is no Logos Log Files folder in documents or logos folders anywhere on the machine.

Is it because the machine is Windows 10 or/and has a roaming profile?

    Thanks

Windows 10 shouldn't matter. I don't think a Roaming Profile should make a difference. I have run Logos on machines with roaming profiles and haven't encountered problems.

    So let's try something else.

Go to %localappdata%. Do you have a Logos folder? if so, go into it, and then into Install / Installers. If you have a Logos-x64.msi file, run it. If you run in from a command prompt like this: Logos-x64.msi /L*V install.log, you'll get an install log you can upload here — although you may get an error message on screen, too.

I have a logos folder, but inside the installer folder the only files there are the DXsetup.

But I did a bit of searching and found a Logos Log Files located in the temp folder of the users directory. Below is the content of this file
