Faithlife News and iOS News App
Does Faithlife News have any plans to integrate directly into the iOS News app, or is it going to keep being released for iOS as a standalone app (since it aggregates data from other services, I'm not sure if Apple would "allow" it to be in the iOS News app.
Thanks!

My understanding is news sites have to be invited by Apple to be made available in their News app, and we haven't been invited so I don't believe we can integrate into iOS News.

I don't think that is the case. See THIS link.
It’s easy to get started with News. Anyone from major news organizations to magazines, blogs, and more can sign up to deliver their content to News. Register to submit your RSS feeds to News.
I read an interview of Tim Cook and he mentioned church bulletins getting into the app... so I am pretty sure Faithlife could do the same. There may be restrictions on the type of material published... FL may, for example, be prohibited from having just a "sales" feed... I don't know if that is the case though.
EDIT: upon looking a bit closer, it may be that the publishing tool is a FUTURE "coming soon" project.

Thanks for the info! The current standalone Faithlife News app is good, but having Faithlife News in the iOS News app might get me wanting to actually use it more.

I've added a ton of standard RSS feeds in the past to News by opening a site in Safari and then using the action button to "add to News app" in the past - can't test it now as I've hidden News on my iPhone (I much prefer Reeder & Feedly), but I'd be surprised if that didn't work?

I'm using Reeder+Feedly as well for my news reading, so I was wondering what it'd take to get me interested in using the iOS News app. :-)
