iPad highlighting not working when trying to highlight more than a few lines!

I don't quite know how many lines... but once I try to highlight more than a few, it just doesn't happen.

I select a text and then click 'highlight' and nothing happens!

I've just tried this with highlighting 20 lines of text and it worked fine

Please provide some more details:

is this on iPad or iPhone / which model?
which mobile app are you using and which version?
does this happen in just one resource or all resources? Please provide a specific example

I wonder why. But I'm glad to know that yours is working fine! that means the system itself is not malfunctioning!

Does it change if you store highlights in a different notes document?

Does highlighting work if you enable "swipe to highlight" in the View Settings (Aa) menu?

Or try killing the app and restarting it, or restarting your iPad

Are you in page view (how many columns?) or scrolling view?

Are you in portrait of landscape mode?
