Feedback on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament interactive
Congrats on this - nice idea. So far my main feedback would be that when you select "Original Language" I would like to see the LXX included. The reason is that most echoes, allusions, and citations of the OT in the NT seem to be based on the LXX text (some estimates I've seen are around 75%). So, even in those cases in which the LXX is not the "original" (e.g. the Hebrew OT), it is very often the "original" insofar as it is what is being cited, alluded to, or echoed. If we could get both, or at least get a check box of some sort to turn it on or off, that would be great. For Deuterocanonical / Apocrypha, of course, it should be included always, at least when the Greek is what is normally used for modern translations.

It appears we have a bug. I ran into it myself and reported it to the appropriate developer. In my case it was with the Greek New Testament instead of the LXX. You might try putting an LXX text in your list of prioritized resources as this "fixed" it for my GNT problem.
(In Library tab, click on Prioritize, then drag an LXX resource over to it. You can then remove the item by right clicking on it and selecting "Remove from this list" if you no longer want it proritized.)
It appears we have a bug. This has been fixed for 6.8 RC 1, and an updated interactive will be available shortly.
This is still not working properly for me, as you can see in the image below. I am running Verbum 6.8.0.0049 and the support info on the NT Use of the OT is:

Here's the support info I see. I think you may be a couple days behind. Try running "update resources" at the command line please. Meanwhile, I've had no luck reproducing the behaviour using the 11-27 version.

Hmmm... "update resources" returns "No updates were found", and the build date continues to be 11-25.
Fr. Roza, I apologize for never managing to reproduce your problem. Unfortunately, I was one of the ones laid off, so I won't be able to get back to it. It was a pleasure serving you.
Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear about that. I really appreciate all you did to help out, both here and elsewhere. I'll be keeping you in my prayers in this difficult time, and trust it will work out for the best for you.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." - Rom 15:13
It is still broken for me too, with the same problem from 2015. I rarely get the English, Masoretic, and LXX together. I always see some other combination. Such as the Septuagint 3 times in a row...
Or no LXX at all, but some other translation instead:
Or other creative combinations:
All these images were taken from the same installation, same prioritization.
I don't use this interactive because of these problems, which is too bad, as it is one of the interactives I would most like to use regularly.
The support info for the interactive is:

I wholeheartedly agree with Fr. Devin. It would be very desirable to get this fixed before the Logos 8 forums are anticipating.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
You can't begin to know how much this pains me. :-(
Thanks, Jeff. Your great work on this is why we want to get it fixed!
I dropped Rick a line, maybe he can get this ball moving.
I have a parallel Logos install, with my personal account on it. The problem is the same in that account. So, it is not limited to Verbum.
Also, I have a "Verbum Trainer" account that I use for creating the Verbum training videos. It is a very clean install, with only Verbum 7 Platinum, and very minimal customizations. The problem is identical on that install, down to the combinations of versions that appear on each verse.
So, that would unfortunately indicate this is a very broad problem...
I can't do anything directly to fix it, but folks who can have been reminded of the issue.

I find that, if you are lucky, it will occasionally work properly for a minute or two.
I still would like to use this in class... and it is still as broken and utterly useless a tool as ever. The content is good enough, but the tool just doesn't work (in all the ways already mentioned in this thread).
And I have tested it with entirely new accounts, and it is just as broken on those accounts as it is on mine, so it isn't related to prioritization or anything like that.
This should be fixed in the updated version of the interactive that was published today: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/193371.aspx

Thanks, Bradley and team. I can confirm it is now working, for the first time ever.
The choice of a Bible translation, and whether you wish to see the "Original Language" are not sticky. Could they both be made sticky, please? I have to change both every time I open it up now.
