Speed with which the Parallel buttons appear

It seems the Parallel Resource buttons (and the river-like buttons on things like the NA27) come up way after the rest of the parts of the resource header appears. I know they are separate from that, but I am often waiting minutes after Logos opens and the 'happy circles' appear for these buttons to show up. As I wait, my hard drive operation light often goes out so there is no indication anything further is going to happen.
Can this process be further optimized? I think when this is released it will cause some questions.
I am still waiting for one button to appear and it has been at least three minutes since the 'happy circles' appeared. Logos 4 is working, but no Parallel Resource functionality.
I'm using Beta 4.

takes a second or two to appear if i just open a bible... took a good while for them to appear after loading a layout (i.e. after my passage guide was finished running)

I am loading a layout.
It took 5 minutes and 25 seconds after the 'happy circles' appeared to have the first Parallel Resource icon pop-up. This is with a fresh restart of the program.

Do you have a lot of collections (dozens or hundreds)? Do some of them ("All but Bibles") contain thousands of resources? Try unchecking the "Show in parallel resources" checkbox on those collections to see if it improves performance.

What resource were you in? I was wondering why the button wasn't appearing in a commentary and then I realized that I was in a non-versified section (introduction) of the commentary. As soon as I moved to the verse-by-verse section, the button appeared.

Collections: 120. Largest is Journals with 626 resources. No "Everything but Bibles"

Never noticed this feature. I can do that to a lot of my collections since I have just a few I care about parallel resource associations for.
I'll report back.

I use a layout where I know buttons should appear (and eventually did) so that wasn't it. Good idea, though and it may catch some users.
I'm going to try what Bradley suggested and re-time.

I excluded about 2/3 of my collections from showing up in Parallel resources and the time from 'happy circles' dropped to 3 minutes, 22 seconds (about a 2 minute improvement). This still seems very slow. I usually keep Logos 4 open so it won't ordinarily be something I have to deal with, but I still wonder if something can't be done to bring these up more quickly.
