Reduced number of recent highlighting styles on iPad app
The iPad version of Logos/Verbum used to have more than 3 recent highlighting styles saved to the highlighting dialog panel. For some reason, there are now only 3 (the same as the iPhone version). This is very inconvenient for inductive bible study where I'll typically rotate through 7-8 commonly used inductive styles. Can you restore the original number of recent highlighting styles to the iPad app, or, better yet, allow us to set the number in settings? Even better, can you consider allowing us to set the highlighting styles that appear in the floating highlighting palette?
Thank you!

I want to weigh in on this. This reduction in number of recent styles has significantly impacted my use of highlights while reading on my iPad (which I typically do for a couple of hours every day). Not sure what the reasoning was behind this change. For me, the number of recent styles had been ~5, and that worked well for me.
Thanks,
Donnie

I'd love to see the number of recent highlights increased / restored to previous levels. It seems like such a waste of real estate on the iPad screen when there are so few options. This change would make the iOS app run more efficiently for many using it on their iPads!

I could not agree more, Paul (and others). I wish this could revert back to the way it used to be.

3 is not enough, 5 was much better.

I'be posted an enhancement request to put this back the way it was or better. You can vote here to help get the work prioritized: https://logosmobile.uservoice.com/forums/190765-logos-mobile-apps/suggestions/11117868-restore-the-number-of-recent-highlights-to-5-or-mo.

I don't know what Kevin will say, but imo a uservoice should NOT be needed for something like this. I can't imagine that this was an intentional change.

We're aware of the issue and there's already a case.

Also curious how I could change the "Highlighter Pens" that shows up initially to "Solid Colors" on the app (both Ipad & Iphone).
On the pop up there are 5 colors but they're the pens. Is that the default and is there anyway to change it?
Thanks!

That is the default and there currently isn't a way to change it.

I was glad to see that a case was opened about this issue. It's frustrating that the same highlighters cannot be used on both the desktop version of logos and the mobile app.
Also, if there are only five set options, I don't understand why the pink highlighter is not one of the options. It is much much easier to read highlights made with the pink highlighter than the current red highlighter option.

This thread is about a bug that was fixed months ago concerning the number of recently used highlights that appeared in the Highlight dialog's Recent Styles section. The issue was that only three were shown but now it's back to five and the bug is fixed.
Incidentally, all highlight styles that work on Logos desktop also work on the mobile apps, including custom styles. Please see below.

Kevin,
Thanks for your reply to my post from yesterday.
When I tap on a highlight in the iphone mobile app, a tab bar is visible. On the far left is a trash can, to the immediate right of the trash can are five circles each of a different highlight color -- yellow, green, blue, red and orange.
Is there any way to replace/swap out the red highlight color for a pink highlight? I'd also be interested in swapping out the red underline for a bold emphasis. I've assumed that the items on this default tab bar are not editable. It would safe time to be able to have this first tab bar contain my most frequently used highlights and emphasis markup styles.

Next time please post a new thread since your issue is unrelated to this one.
