Searching journals for certain topics

Do a basic search

In the search criteria area at the top of the search panel you'll see either All Resources or Everything. Click on those words and type in type:journal . You see something like "xxxx resources with the type journal". Click on that, This will create an instant journal collection by which you can search. (You can also create a collection of journals by using the create collection feature under tools, and using the same filer terms: type:journal ). 

You can now search for your topic by putting those words into the search box. 

There are more advanced ways to do this search, but this is probably the easiest way to do it.

Be sure to search using "normativeness of scripture" (with the quotes and the double "s" ending) but also search for normativeness (without quotes) as there may be similar expressions like "normativeness, canonicity, of the Bible"
