I wonder how Logos estimates/determines the price of a print book against which Logos advertises their electronic editions.

For example:see https://www.logos.com/product/29300/the-dictionary-of-classical-hebrew?utm_source=hebrew&utm_medium=email&utm_content=5308402&utm_campaign=promo-logospro2015

  • Logos is advertizing their electronic edition for $ 249,95
  • against the price of the print edition for $ 1280
  • which seems to be a super deal
  • until you see that a print edition by the publisher for all eight volumes is only $ 595 (http://www.sheffieldphoenix.com/showbook.asp?bkid=197)
  • which is still a good deal, but less super than how it is advertised.

So: how does Logos determine the prices for the print editions of their electronic publications?
