Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to have a reading plan that have the four scripture readings for the M'Cheyne Reading plan and the appropriate devotional reading from Carson's For the Love of God for each day from January 1st to December 31st.

I cannot understand how to create a reading plan for Carson's devotional that matches the date of January 1st with the January 1st entry. I assume I can merge the standard M'Cheyne Reading plan with this one if I could make it. I would be also happy to use two separate ones if needed.

Finally, it would be great if they synced properly to iOS.  Help!?!

Agape,

Steve

  • Simple idea: create M'Cheyne Reading plan in desired Bible.  Read corresponding dates in one of Carson's "For The Love of God" devotional calendars.

Another idea is creating a reading plan for devotional calendar. Thread => Logos/Verbum Tip of the day: How to build a custom reading plan has screen shots for creating a custom plan using a devotional calendar, which is tedious to create every session for a devotional calendar.

Note: prioritizing Devotional Calendar resource(s) adds them to Logos Home page.

Thanks for the response. I made two separate reading plans. M'Cheyne from the predefined template and then a custom template for the devotional. It required making 365 separate entries matched to the actual date - kind of a long process. When I tried to merge them, the software could not transfer from one book to another within a reading session so I am using the two of them. The reading plan functionality is very clunky and prone to errors.

Thanks for your help. Have a wonderful New Year.
