Is anyone else having a generic problem with this beta being very slow to fill things like the Information Panel and the Context Menu along with a probably related recurrence of corrupt indices?
6.9 Beta 3 Mac OS 10.11.2
Tried this with both Greek and Hebrew, and did not notice any slow down. Information panel fill is practically instantaneous. The context menu takes about 3 seconds to fill with lemma selected. That is a noticeable delay, but it may be faster than previous versions.
Have not experienced any corrupted indices.
The Context Menu in Beta 3 is slower than v6.8 with all the extra info on the RHS, but is faster than the earlier Beta 1/2! It could benefit from more tweaking. The Info panel speed is OK. I have not had any corrupt indices, but am interested why a "recurrence" of such would relate to the first two issues.
What I am observing is that I will open the Information Panel, for example, get a spinning pizza, the indexer starts and I get a long wait before the Information Panel produces results. By long waits I mean counted in minutes not seconds. It happens maybe once in 20-25 times. And no, there is no indication of any download nearby. If others aren't experiencing, I'll make a concerted effort to trap it.
