Atlas: Egnatian Way
Is there a way to view the Egnatian Way in the Atlas tool in L6? Is it marked in the the Atlas tool? I would think it is but I'm struggling to see it labeled. If it is labeled, how does one go about seeing it that label? Thank you and Lord bless!

I can only find it as a topic which gives Via Egnatia as its original name. If it isn't listed as a <Place> then it won't appear in Atlas. The Roman road links Byzantium and Italy and passes through Thessalonica - so it might be the the black line passing through Thessalonica from west to east!
Edit: Factbook is more helpful with Egnatian Way as it links to the ESV Study Bible which actually lists the road by name near Philippi.

Thanks Dave! I believe you are correct. It does seem to show that road in the Atlas tool but just not labeled. I wanted to show a picture of it with a label so the people could easily pick it out for themselves. I'll just have to use the laser pointer which will work. I'll just have to remember to not point it in my eyes. [:P]

If you have the Holman Bible Handbook, there's a map clearly showing the Egnatian way there. I found it by search for the phrase "egnatian way" as a Media Search. logosres:hlmnbblhbk;ref=Bible.Ac13.4-12;off=856. There's also a nice photo of some of the remains in the Baker Illustrated Bible Commentary and in Logos' Media Collections: logosres:bakerillbblcomm;ref=Bible.Php2.19-30;off=2091

Actually, if you change your search to "egnatian way", "via egnatia", you get even better results. The best is probably in the NIB.

Scott: one of things we've added to the background of Atlas maps is the network of OT and NT roads, as thin brown lines. However, they're not currently labeled, and we don't have Factbook entries for them yet: we'll consider that as a possible improvement for the future.
