Strack & Billerbeck - an appeal

Strack and Billerbeck's Commentary on the New Testament from the Talmud and Midrash has long been a standard work on 2nd Temple Judaism. It is languishing on pre-pub. I would like to ask you to give it a further look.
Below are some screen shots from my library giving some indication of the importance of this work. (I don't own Anchor Bible Commentary but imagine it would come up in a similar search.) There are a couple of ways resources cite Strack and Billerbeck, so I've used a couple of search terms. (Within some commentary series different abbreviations are sometimes used, too.)
Between standard reference works and technical commentaries, there are hundreds of references to S-B in my Library.
I believe many of us would benefit from this resource if we can get it into print. Take a look and if you agree, get in on the pre-pub.
Thanks.

I put a bit more of jewish Isues in. Billerbeck could go over cut and past and then change in the Text create a PB. Other PDF are with pictures. These can not be changed into docx at least what I know. But you can use the Books and work with them.
Have Fun

Logos requests, understandably, that we not use their forums to share the files for Personal Books which are also for sale within the Software.

I've been chomping at the bit for this one. It would be a great service to have Logoa with this valuable resource in English.

For what it is worth, years ago I published an index based on Strack and Billerbeck, called "The New Testament and the Mishnah" (Baker Book House 1983). We went through S&B, pulling out all references to the NT and cross indexed them to the tractates to which S&B connected them. Not a perfect index, by any means, but it provides a quick reference to relevant Mishnaic passages that inform the particular NT passages. The index goes both ways, so study in either Mishnah or NT would gives useful connection to the other. Unfortunately, it is out of print and Baker has chosen not to reprint it. Though it was created pre-digital, I still have copies available. I am posting this in case any are interested in procuring a copy.

As far as I can see, the red line is not getting much longer. Might be only a small group interested and the price is high. Maybe an exciting example would help, if someone could generate one?

I have a copy of that! I had a notion about plugging that info into Logos if I had a block of time to devote to it. Not sure about the tagging to the Mishnah. Now that some of that info might already come with the ancient literature referencing in Logos 6, I'll need to take another look.
Really want to see S&B in Logos! [8-|]

If anyone would like a copy, I can make photo-copies of the book (I own the copyright), and send it for cost.0 -
Thank you for the offer. I'll take you up on it when I finish a current project. The last thing I need is another distraction/procrastination help.

Might you have the appropriate rights to see if Faithlife wanted to produce an edition of it?

Yes I own the rights, but I'm not sure if I have the bandwidth in the near future to follow up with Faithlife. I'll let the idea simmer a bit.

Thanks for the bump.
FL wants to produce the English translation of this valuable resource It will take quite a few more of us signing up for the pre-pub for this to happen. Give it a look.

Just wondering, does FL have a mechanism to advertise this pre-pub to all users?

Just a quick note to say this project is on our minds and we will be working soon on rallying some attention to help let others know about it and to get it funded. I'm hopeful we can get it there!

That's good to hear.
One question that will come up is how much back-linking will FL do on this resource. I hope when you promote this there will be some information about which works FL will go back and tag for S-B. That is where most of the value of this resource is for Logos users.
I look forward to seeing this get into production.
