Audiobook user ability / user friendly issues
Is anyone else having issues finding their place again with Logos audiobooks? What is the point of the pages of thumbnail pictures in the app? If I leave the app or move to reading something else in the app I can't return and find my place. Nor is your place remembered and synced with your other devices. Even if I hit the right thumbnail or remember on my own the right section in the table of contents list I still have to use the 30s skip forward feature to find my own place in what is maybe a 2 hour section. This is ridiculous!
Also can anyone answer; if I buy the digital book that goes with the audiobook will it stitch them together? Play and follow along in the same way the ESV does with the digital book copy?

Welcome to the forums. You don't say what app you are using nor what resource. We need to know both to help you. It is also usually faster if you post in the forum for the software you are using ... your post may be moved when we know that essential information.

I believe so but without knowing what app you are using, I'm just guessing.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks for your help. I'm using the 'Bible! by Logos' App, Version 5.0.4 on iPhone 6s which is currently running software iOS9.2. The issues I'm experiencing are not particular to a specific audiobook resource but all audiobooks I have purchased.

Please give a specific resource that is representative of your complaints, and we'll go from there.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm really sorry about the poor experience you've had so far. Audiobooks is a newer category for us, and it seems there are some issues we need to work out. I apologize that we got a little ahead of ourselves and didn't make sure we had the experience fully worked out before shipping.
The best experience will be when you have the audio resource and the text resource and we've synced them together (as in the case of the ESV, LEB, or Greek Audio Bible, or The Cross of Christ). We plan to sync many others together as well.
In the case where we have only the audio (or we have the text, but you down own it), we need to improve our experience. Remembering your location and syncing across devices are essential features for audiobooks, and we're digging into that right now. I'll report back as soon as I have more information about a time frame.
Again, I'm sorry for the poor experience.

The audiobook experience I would have expected or would even recommend is to always provide the digital book resource and perhaps provide a option when purchasing to also acquire the audiobook for that resource at an extra cost if available. This way you also avoid your library suffering that resource to use in its searches. If you only have the audiobook Logos Bible Software doesn't have that resource to call upon while in study mode.

I'll report back as soon as I have more information about a time frame.
The desktop app remembers your position and will pick up where you left off. There's a bug in the Mac app that makes it look like it forgot your position, but as soon as you click the play button it will start at the right spot. We're fixing that. We're also going to add progress indicators at the chapter level. That way you'll see which chapters who've completed, which you've not completed, and which you've partially completed.
The mobile app doesn't remember your position yet. We're working on that right now and hope to ship it soon. We'll also add support for syncing that position across platforms and devices.
There are a number of other improvements on our list, but these are the high priority ones. We welcome your feedback. I'm sorry for the inconvenience in the mean time.

Is logos ever going to have a reader that will read aloud to me the books that I have purchased. This feature for kindle is huge as I travel a lot it is nice to read when I want or have the kindle read to me when I am walking driving excercising. It would be nice to have this feature without having to buy an audio book version of the book I already purchased. I know that you can do that on a laptop but it would be nice to do it in vyrso.
Thanks
