Anyone know what is happening with this and what the fix is? It happens within 5 minutes each time I open Logos 6.
Hi Ken - and welcome to the forums
To help track this down we would need to see logs.
Please enable logging - as per https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem - and post them in a reply to this thread using the paperclip icon

I suspect Logos is having trouble accessing the BITS service for downloads. This is a core component of Windows (that is required for Windows Update) so perhaps it was damaged recently.
Please try using this Microsoft tool to fix Windows Update problems: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/windows-update-troubleshooter
I cannot find Logos log files folder under "Documents"
This is a Windows folder - not within the Logos application
But first I'd try Bradley's suggestions above
OK, tried all the above but nothing has changed. Still shutting down after about 5 minutes with "Encountered a problem and has to close" message. Any additional suggestions?
Were you able to find the log files folder on your hard drive?
If so, please post logs
OK, zip files posted.
Zip files posted
Cant see them - please use the paperclip icon

Did that do it?
You definitely have a problem with BITS on your system.
If the Microsoft troubleshooter link I gave above didn't work, try this one: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058
That link only works with win 7, 8 and Vista. Not win 10
The "Run now" link under Windows 8.1 seems to successfully launch a tool on my Windows 10 system. Did you try it?
Maybe that page just hasn't been updated to say "Windows 10" yet.
Thanks guys--running through that troubleshooter and restarting seems to have fixed the problem. I really appreciate your help. I will let you know if there are further issues.
