I have a MS Word document (Word for Mac 2011) containing many bible references. I would like to import/copy the actual bible texts into Word for those references. Too many to do individually. Is there an easy way to bring them all in at one time? Logos 6.8

Sure, but you may have to experiment a bit.

    1. Create a new "passage list" document.
    2. Click the "add" button drop/down list.
    3. Click "a file" (or you may try one of the other options)
    4. Navigate to your document.

If Logos doesn't recognize your file type, you could try one of the other options or convert to a .txt file format.

The passage list will find all the references and bring in the text. You would then export back out.

Thanks alabama24.  That does indeed work.

In an older version of Logos and older version of MS Word, I seem to remember a reftagger function of sorts that worked like this: when you typed in a verse reference into MS Word, you could use a macro or hot key to bring in the actual verse from Logos.  Of course my memory could be soggy on this point, but does that ring a bell?

This is the "smart tag" functionality as outlined at https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/smart-tags

Note it is not supported - and isn't supported on Mac

I understand there is a Mac equivalent - "replace with Passage" - but one of our Mac-using colleagues will need to comment further on that

Logos Smart Tags is automatically installed with Windows versions. Right click a bible reference in MS Word and choose Additional Actions (Word 2010 or later) or hover over the reference and click on image (Word 2003/2007).
