bug - for everyone link set

If I add Tom Wright or John Goldingay "for everyone" books to a link set then they do not follow with other books. They do force other books to follow them. These should be treated as one set so that if I go to an old testament or new testament passage they follow as commentaries do.

Check their information panel - if they do not share an index with the other resources, they will not scroll together. However, I suspect you are misinterpreting what you are seeing as the blocks of scripture in the For Everyone series if I recall correctly is more of a pericope level than a verse level. So that while more finely indexed commentaries are moving, the For Everyone series will not move until you hit the next pericope in its index.

Ok tried again - if I'm looking at a passage in John and then jump to genesis then all my other commentaries come with me but not the for everyone set. If I jump from john to revelation then they follow. It seems as if the new testament and old testament are treated as separate sets. I don't think they should be really.

They are separate series - as shown below - which is why you get the behaviour you are seeing
If you wish you can change the Series name for the resources (highlighted in red on the right) and you will then get the behaviour you want.
Please note that a resource can only be in one series at a time and so any collection rules based on series name (for example) may no longer work.

Graham,
Thanks so much - that has almost solved it! I'm finding that the right books are opening to the right places. Interestingly and still a bug the title tab of 2 or 3 commentaries will stay as the previous title until I click it when it turns out to be in the right place! I can certainly live with that but I guess technically it is a bug...
Cheers,
John
